Connective Communications Greece

Greece is a member state of the European Union since 1981, has a population of 10,964,020 (2001 enumeration data), 49.50% of which are male and 50.50% are female, with 68.12% of the total populace belonging in the age group of 15-64 years.

The country’s anticipated GNP for the year 2008 is € 223 billion, growth rate during the second quarter of 2007 was 4.1% and the yearly per capita income is approximately € 15,000. 2,761 companies are active in the Greek market with revenue of € 150.000 and more, 1.080 of which have a foreign participation of more than 51% and 1.681 are Greek.

The Media have grown significantly in the country, having state and private media, national, regional, local and multiple interest media. Out of the media total, they are divided in:

  • Television: 3 state networks with national transmission range, 8 private networks with national transmission range, 3 digital state networks, 1 private digital platform and 111 regional and local networks.
  • Radio stations: 4 state stations with national transmission range, 4 private stations of with national transmission range, and 339 regional and local stations
  • Newspapers: 35 political and financial papers of state coverage and 335 regional and local papers.
  • Magazines: 710 in the lifestyle, TV, financial, political, newsletter and special type categories, 50% of which have a state coverage while the remaining are regional and local.
  • Internet: 20 newsletter portals.

Managing Director of Connective Communications Greece is Mr. Stefanos Spathas. Founder of Connective, with 15 -year experience in the field of communication, having worked as an executive in media, advertising and PR companies. He has studied Marketing with specialization in Communication and Public Relations. For many years, he has been managing communication programs of large Greek and multinational companies, while he has also been providing consulting services to companies and organizations. He is a member of the NGOs "NET IMPACT" (initiative for promoting social responsibility at executive and businessman level) and "ONE EARTH" (humanitarian organization planning development projects in less developed countries). In 2004, Stefanos Spathas published "PERIVALLON 21", the first Greek political and financial magazine for the protection of the environment. In 2007, he was included in the "Young Leaders in the Greek Economy '07" edition.
