Connective Communications Bulgaria
Bulgaria is a member state of the European Union since 2007, has a population of 7.679.920, 48,50% of which are male and 51,50% are female, with 62,08% of the total populace belonging in the age group of 16-64 years.
The country’s GNP during the first semester of 2007 was 41 667.6 million. Leva, growth rate during the first semester of 2007 was 6,4% and the yearly per capita income is approximately € 3.260.
The Media have grown significantly in the country, having state and private media, national, regional, local and multiple interest media. Out of the media total, they are divided in:
- Television: 2 state networks with national transmission range, 163 private out of which 119 are regional and local networks.
- Radio stations: 4 state stations with national transmission range, 17 private stations of with national transmission range, and 71 regional and local stations.
- Newspapers: 44 political and financial papers of state coverage and 52 regional and local papers.
- Magazines: 88 in the lifestyle, TV, financial, political, newsletter and special type categories, 15% of which have a state coverage while the remaining are regional and local.
- Internet: 5 newsletter portal
General Manager/Partner of Connective Communications Bulgaria is Ploutarchos Maridakis. He has been the Media Director of DDB Sofia, for five years, dealing with big clients such us Praktiker, Chipita, Finetti, McDonald’s, Henkel, Germanos, Siemens, Nikas, Audi, Seat, Piraeus Bank, Interamerican, Suzuki and others, while during the period of 1999-2000 he worked for the Publicitas Hellas, as a Media Buyer. In 2007 he has been appointed as the Commercial Director of the newly established MAD TV, Sofia. In 2008 he established the Stand Point Consulting, a media consulting company, which he manages until today. The company is cooperating and undertakes projects, providing media consulting services to various direct clients and media agencies in Bulgaria. In his many-year career, he has cooperated with a number of important and high esteem multinational and national organizations and has received many awards, National and European. He holds University titles in National and World Economy, Marketing & Management.
