Connective Communications Cyprus

Cyprus is a member state of the European Union since 2006, has a population of 778.700, 49.20% of which are male and 50.80% are female, with 69.08% of the total population belonging in the age group of 16-64 years.

The country's GNP for the year 2007 is € 15.5 billion, growth rate during the second semester of 2007 was 4.4% and the yearly per capita income is approximately € 19.076,5.

The Media have grown significantly in the country, having state and private media, national, regional, local and multiple interest media. Out of the media total, they are divided in:

  • Television: 2 state networks with national transmission range, 6 private networks with national transmission range, 3 digital networks and 8 regional and local networks.
  • Radio stations: 2 state stations with national transmission range, 9 private stations of with national transmission range, and 40 regional and local stations.
  • Newspapers: 8 political and financial papers of state coverage and 5 regional and local papers.
  • Magazines: 110 in the lifestyle, TV, financial, political, newsletter and special type categories, 95% of which have a state coverage while the remaining are regional and local.
  • Internet: 8 newsletter portals

General Manager/Partner of Connective Communications Cyprus is Pavlina Papalouka. She has been a PR Officer for many years in Media both in Cyprus and in Greece (Sigma TV, “Fileleftheros” Group, Mad TV Media Group) as well as in the representative of the companies Mazda, Gucci, Rolex, Bulgari, Siemens, Patek Philippe and Hugo Boss in Cyprus. In parallel, she held, for 4 years, a Communication and Public Relations teacher position in the private college Cyprus College. In 2003 she created the event organization company Public Art, which is active in Cyprus and neighboring countries. She holds University titles in Business Management and Journalism.
